Johannesburg – Pretoria – Panorama Route – Kruger National Park – Oudtshoorn – Garden Route – Cape Town – Johannesburg

Day 1: On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, personal welcome by our representative and transferred to your Hotel in Pretoria for check in and freshen up. In the afternoon, starting from 13h00 enjoy a half day tour of Pretoria, the Capital City of South Africa, visiting various landmarks and attractions of the City, finishing up with a visit to the famous Union Buildings and Gardens. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2: After breakfast, leave Pretoria for a full day tour of Johannesburg city, visiting Soweto, the largest African Township in South Africa where the late Nelson Mandela lived in his early days. Visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial and the Regina Mundy Convent, getting historical information on the liberation movement against Apartheid. Follow up this with a visit to the Apartheid Museum & the adjoining Gold Reef City, doing the underground mine tour to learn the gold mining process. In the evening, return to Pretoria, driving through Johannesburg city centre. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 3: Depart your Hotel for commencing your journey to the “Panorama Route” on the Mpumalanga Highveld, visiting attractions like The Blyde River Canyon, the Three Rondavals, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Pinnacle and “God’s Window, driving through to your Hotel in Hazyview, just outside the World Renowned Kruger National Park.

Day 4: An early start to a full day of Game Viewing inside the Kruger National Park, home to the Big 5 animals. Guests are advised to take precautionary medicine for Malaria prevention per Doctor’s advice. See the Big 5 in their natural habitat, close and in front during the whole day game drive. Evening return to Hotel in Hazyview.

Day 5: From Hazyview, we drive back in to the Panorama Route towards Pilgrim’s Rest, the quaint town where Gold deposits were discovered. En-route, we take in the scenic beauty of Mac Mac Falls and the Panorama Route itself. Visit Sudwala caves, to see the stalagmites and stalagtites formed thousand years ago. Returning to Hazyview in the afternoon, we get ready for a “Night Game Drive” in the Kruger National Park, to get a closer look at the nocturnal animals. Late night, return to Hotel in Hazyview.

Day 6: We depart Hazyview on the return journey to Pretoria, through the Panorama Route, via the famous “Long Tom Pass”, reaching Pretoria in the early afternoon and check in to your Hotel. This evening, we visit “Lesedi Cultural Village” near Pretoria for an African Culture Experience and Dinner. Late night, return to Hotel.

Day 7: An early start for the day, departing the hotel, you are transferred to OR Tambo International Airport for you domestic flight to George in Western Cape. On arrival, a representative of our partner Tour Operator receives you for an hour’s drive to Oudtshoorn, which takes you through the breathtaking views of the Outanique Pass. Oudtshoorn is a most popular tourist attraction of South Africa with its Ostrich Farms & the Cango Caves. We visit an Ostrich Farm learning details of Ostrich Farming, have fun testing your weight on an Ostrich egg & ride on one of them, if you are the brave type. We then visit the World famous Cango caves, without which a visit to Oudtshoorn is incomplete! Evening, we check in to your hotel in Oudtshoorn for overnight stay.

Day 8: We depart the hotel after breakfast and drive back to George and on to the Garden Route towards Storms River & the Tsitsikamma Forest. For the adventurous types, the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour is a wonderful way of exploring the forest (not included in the Itinerary pricing). We trace our way back on the Garden Route towards Knysna via Plettenberg Bay, visiting the Knysna Elephant Park en-route, to interact with Elephants, feed them, walk with them and feel these majestic animals up close. Evening we drive back to Knysna for overnight stay.

Day 9: After breakfast, we drive to see the famous “knysna heads” up close from the top of the heads. Later we explore the Knysna waterfront with its craft Markets. We board the famous “John Benn” from the Knysna Quays, for a lunch time cruise on the Lagoon. The John Benn is a double decker floating Restaurant, offering a panoramic cruise on the Lagoon while you have lunch on board (lunch not included). Upon return to the Quays, we drive back to your Hotel. Evening at leisure, Overnight stay Knsyna.

Day 10: After breakfast, we depart the hotel to continue our drive on the Garden Route, towards Cape Town via Mossel Bay, with your guide pointing out more attractions on the way. We reach Cape Town early in the afternoon. Time & weather permitting we drive to the base of the Table Mountain Cableway for a ride up to the top of the Mountain, highest point of which is 3,563 feet (1,086 meters) above sea level. Upon return from the Mountain top, we reach your Hotel for check in and overnight stay.

Day 11: We leave on a full day Cape Peninsula Tour, visiting many attractions en-route including the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the Cape Point, the south western most tip of the African Continent. This is not a private tour. However, private tour can be arranged. In the evening we return to Cape Town via the scenic Atlantic Route, back to the Hotel.

Day 12: We leave on a half-day city tour of Cape Town city visiting the inner city attractions, the cape Malay quarters and the city center. After lunch, we take on a half day Winelands Tours, visiting some of the wine estates, offering a wine tasting experience and information on wine farming. Guests have opportunity to purchase wines from the estates. We return to Cape Town and your Hotel in the evening.

Day 13: After breakfast, we depart the hotel for your transfer to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Our representative will meet & greet you on arrival at the domestic terminal and assist you in checking in at the International Departures for your flight home. Tour ends.

Price includes:
